Day 44: Wrong turn Right, to Samos!

Well yesterday was the most awesome day!!

I planned to walk to Sarria but took the long way by accident (?)?). And walked into a town called Samos which just happened to have one of the largest remaining monasteries in Europe. And there were tours of it, so of course I had to go!
Fabulous!!

The monk in charge.
I am in love!

Then I found out they had an Albergue in the Monastery and that the Monks did a Mass with a Pilgrims blessing, so of course I had to stay!! Then there was a tour of the pre Roman hermits worship center which preceded the Monastery where he became famous and people came from all over Europe to see him and the Monastery grew out of that and spread from Spain to other countries in Europe.
Well run Albergue.

Lights out at 10 and on at 7.
Peaceful night, best yet.
Awoke to the monk playing a tape of a rooster crowing and then walked through the bunks singing.
He was lovely!!!
