Day 52: Moxia the official end of the Camino.

I am in Moxia the official end of the Camino.

I felt a little sad about taking the bus tour but I got answers to a number of questions I had as well as learning more.

The church devoted to St James at the place where he had the vision

This is the wonderful village where St. James decided to go back to Jerusalem and where he had the vision of Santa Maria in the stone boat.

Commemorates the storm sinking of an oil tanker 13 years ago that devastated the shoreline and caused severe economic hardship.
Volunteers showed up from all over the world to help clean up.
Scars are still visible .
The picture of me is next to the official end sign of the Camino.

I had the tour drop me here and they will pick me up to go to Finnesterre tomorrow and back to Santiago. It is perfect!!

Santiago is too commercial and busy.

View from my Albergue deck

Part of the stone ship.

Walking to the village. Stone walled fields

Moxia is tiny, right on the coast and beautiful.
I feel peace and equilibrium returning.
My heart is full of gratitude !!

Such a nice relaxing day!

In back of the church on the rock wall in Muxia

Overlooking the church and monument from the hill top

Sunset from a hill in the village overlooking the ocean

This is such a lovely town and the Albergue is the best one yet!!

Wonderful way to end!!
